Great stuff, too expensive,
16 Sep 2007 I just used the lavender 6oz kit. It's great stuff- smells great, easy to use once it's warm enough and good for removing hair. It's just like the stuff they use in India for waxing, which leaves my skin really soft. The only problem is that one jar is enough to do just two half legs. I have coarse hair, though I've been waxing for 10 years and don't have much growth. So at �14.99 a pop, it's not much better than going to a salon. Sad. Yet another product made from the stuff you'd find in your kitchen, but priced so high you're unlikely to use it more than once. Probably time to make my own....
UPDATE: Ok-- I'm a convert. But you have to get your hands on a salon sized jar-- 22 oz, which IS economical. If you have coarse hair, don't follow the instructions and microwave it for ten seconds... that just means it cools down fast and doesn't open your pores, and the hair breaks. Instead, I slowly warmed up the entire jar in a pan of water, until the wax was thin and runny...

have tried others over the years but MOOM is great stuff, wont use anything else,

I bought this product reluctantly after my 5 year fave- Nair microwave hot wax, disappeared from the shelves. I checked for it on Amazon and it wasn't here either so I thought I would try MOOM.
I have been waxing at home for 6 yrs and have a mixture of fine and course hair.
I love this product because:
1) it is ALL natural, no chemicals, no preservatives, no alcohol. The strips are good quality and come in 2 sizes but you will need more.
2) sugar- based wax means that it washes off!!!! if you spill it clean up is easy and after waxing a shower will remove any residue. This is such a bonus for me because I have used other waxes that, once spilt, stick to and destroy everything in their path.
3) Hair definitely grows back finer and some doesn't even grow back at all and this is after 3 uses!!!
4)glass jar instead of plastic means that you can heat many different ways (ill explain this below).
5)I have used quite a few waxes in the past...

Brilliant product, would recommend to anyone,

I bought this product as a bit of a whim. I usually go to the salon to get waxed, but have often found that salon staff can be a bit stuck up, or I don't get a brilliant result, but have still always thought that home kits would give me an even worse result. Having never used a home waxing/sugaring kit before, I thought the results would be pretty rubbish, mainly due to me having to use the product a couple of times before I got the hang of it and was amazed at how easy this was to use and how effective it was. I am no stranger to waxing and have got used to the pain of it, but this did not even hurt in the slightest and my skin (I have sensitive skin) was not irritated at all which it normally is for a couple of days after waxing. I cannot recommend this product enough and found that the 6oz pot that I bought seemed to be hardly lessened at all after I did the full area (I did a full brazillian on myself) and think it could easily last another 5 or 6 applications so is great value...
