I used an epilator similar to this one for a few years decided it was time for a new one, bought a Braun Silk -epil wet n dry 7781 and found it awful. (see my review) I parted company with it and bought this Philips, what a difference, it's lovely to use. It's light and easy. It is the most painless epilator I have used. I use it every where. It's shaver and trimer do a good job too. It comes with a generous length of electric cord. I find it easier to have an epilator which you don't have to remember to charge up first. It has 2 speeds. It is just such a gentle epilator and has to be recommended for first time users and those of us who have been doing it awhile because it does everything you need it to, and at a good price. The pain reminds me of waxing, the first few strips hurt but then you become use to the pain. There are two speed levels too. I have used this product about 2 times on my legs, underarms and arms and already I am impressed with the results. My skin is smoother in the above areas and the hairs are thinner, especially under my arms. When I went on holiday recently I used the epilator beforehand and took the shaving head with me which was useful for when the odd few hairs grew back. I do strongly advice using this product at night and after a bath/shower as it eases the pain and the area of skin does look agitated after. If you are a lady that does not mind the pain of beauty this is the product for you. When I was shopping around for an epilator, the Philips HP6509 was one of the cheapest on the market and even cheaper on Amazon. 43 of 43 people found the following review helpful *Girlfriend Reveiw*, 8 Feb 2011 This review is from: Philips HP6509 Satinelle Soft Sensitive Total Body Epilator with Shaving Attachment (Personal Care) I got this for Christmas last year after a lot of research into the best quality/value for money combo I could find, being a epilator virgin, and this was the product that seemed the most promising. After checking the price of this product elsewhere, I was extremely pleased to find it even cheaper here on amazon! *Actually using it* is very easy, not much attention needed during epilation (I watch things online) and attaching the various heads and parts to clean it is very straightforward, and put my regular panicking at breaking new things at ease. I will be honest, it -does- hurt, but that it because it is pulling the hair out from the root- it can't be done painlessly! For those who can deal with the pain, it is EXCELLENT, and I have been able to go up to 2-3 weeks between epilations. The hair grows in much finer, which in turn makes it easier to epilate again, and even makes shaving in between a lot more comfortable. Personally, I can use it anywhere in the body-...
